April Month in Review

April was a really fun and exciting month for us. Some of the highlights included:

  1. Joe getting a new job where he no longer travels YAY! Not only that, it’s a day shift job where he works 12 hour shifts so he has 3-4 days off every week, talk about catch up time and establishing a sense of normal and routine for us! Even better is that it is with a company he  really wanted to work at, so we feel incredibly blessed how it all worked out. Although the traveling was rough at times, that previous job was the job that allowed us to move to Phoenix so we will forever be grateful for it and the skills he learned.

2. We celebrated James turning 3!

3. Joe’s sister visited us from Florida and we had a really great time with her. She even        came to church with us, the kids loved that. We did a lot of fun things like museums,        laser tag, and the Maricopa Fair.

4. We had a blast at the Faithful Word Camping Trip (the previous post I blogged about).

5. We started our Freedom Kids Book Club, something that the kids and I really enjoy.

In no particular order, here are some photos of the month. I am really bad at taking pictures so I may have stolen some of these from other people’s facebook pages ha!

Sophie is probably wondering why is everybody looking at me?

Kids activity at the Camping Trip. Sophie is getting heavy, so glad she learned how to walk now 🙂
My girls have really taken an interest in coding.  I love that our library has free classes.

At a jumping/dodge ball place, taking a break.
At the Idea Museum

Really enjoying this super fun game the whole family can play that our friends sent us!
Beautiful Phoenix April Weather means lots of Bike Rides!
Our family celebratory dinner after Joe’s last work trip!

I can’t believe I didn’t get any pictures with Joe’s sister but we did make this video for my other page Saving Sistas. Nobody thought I was going to make it to the end of the foam pit, and too bad nobody recorded me getting to the top of the rock wall. I may seem out of shape but carrying babies and heavy things by myself has helped me achieve Prov 31:17!

You can see some other videos I have made and sermon clips here.

Final Thoughts-

My husband I recently found the clean comic Micheal Jr. We saw some clips on youtube that made us laugh and then I found this. I REALLY enjoyed it. He did some jokes but also explained comedy and how things shifted for him greatly one day. I like how he explained the set up and then the punchline, you need the two.  He talked about how a lot of people today walk around all set up but with no vision, no punchline. They only obsess about the set up and getting more set up…but for what? Very motivating talk, you can watch the VIDEO HERE.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22

This is one reason I *can’t*stand* these grandisoso super spiritual articles that are just FLUFF but don’t actually get to a punchline, no charge.

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

I’m so grateful I go to the church that I go to, where there is a punchline, there is a charge, a goal, a vision rather than to just pump ourselves up more. The world needs less Christian’s who are just working on their set up, and more who take what they have already and go for the punchline. That’s how we can flip this world upside down. I’m looking forward to this next season of life and using the set up God has given me to do all that I can in regards to my punchline “goals”. They are  1. Preach the Gospel every week. 2. Equip my children for the Christian life the best I can (I’m guessing they will have some pretty big spiritual battles to fight in their generation). 2. Help Families see MOM needs to come back home and THEY can make it on ONE income today. 3.Anybody can homeschool and can do it for FREE if need be.

What’s your punchline? I’d love to hear it!

Christian, Homeschooling, Mother of 6 with way too many ideas.
