There are so many great resources in the valley for clothing that really no one needs to go without. There are even too many to list here but I will share my top 3 that I know more about and can vouch for as fully operational and welcoming.
#1- Clothes Cabin- This is a GREAT place! Once every 3 months you can come here and shop their little store. You get alloted a certain number of pieces for each family member in your family with no limit. They have a little nursery room right in eye sight of the shopping area so you can leave your child there while you shop. Besides clothing they also have diapers and books. They also will give homeless people money to wash and dry their clothing at a laundromat in the same plaza. For more information info and hours go HERE>
Distributes food boxes and clothing to people in need. Offers information about and referrals to available services. Prepares and serves evening meals. Assists with some prescription expenses.
Mon-Fri 10am-3pm administration; 1st, 2nd Tue and 4th Sat 11am-1pm food boxes; Call for clothing distribution days and times; Daily 5:45pm-6:45pm meals; Daily 10am-3pm food donations accepted; call to make arrangements for off-hour donations
Specifically the clothing vouchers are handed out lottery style every Thursday at 1:00pm and a separate clothing hand out Tuesdays at 3:00pm. The clothing vouchers are for the Deserett Thrift Store which is by far the nicest thrift store I have been at in Phoenix.
3. The Bridge Church– The place with the best perishable food boxes, also has a clothing closet. Show up on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 9.30am to get signed up. They will not only give you a food box, a canned goods and toiletry box but also a giant bag to fill up at the clothes closet.
Like I said there are just WAY too many. If you want to go through the list and see if you find something in a particular area, please click here. Please share with anybody who may need help in this area.
