Modest Mondays- Autumn Winter Must Haves

My #ootd who doesn’t love a skirt with pockets amIright? 🙂 This is my go to outfit when I want to be comfortable and move around easily and’s still warm in Phoenix. However soon it won’t be in most of the country which brings up a good point.

I know when I first made the transition to dressing more modestly, I panicked a bit at my first winter. HOW was I going to stay warm? I no longer owned any pairs of jeans and while I did live in the South, Georgia still had it’s VERY cold momments.

I like how this video below gives some great tips on staple items and must haves to not only keep you warm, but help you feel stylish as well. You don’t HAVE to just wear sweatshirts and long denim skirts, you totally can if you want to, but there are other options. (Disclaimer- I don’t believe it’s Biblical to wear Trousers- even if they are loose but besides that one tip/look, I like everything else about this video).

The Autum Winter I made the change.

I taught myself how to sew and made cute matching warmer skirts for me and my girls. Great memories of challenges and learning. It’s amazing how different I feel in a skirt vs. pants.

I hope these tips give you ideas how to stay warm this winter and still honor Christ in your appearance.

I am excited to announce another GIVEAWAY! Since I come across some great clothing at rock bottom prices and I ship almost daily anyways, be on the look out for some more giveaways often. Today I am giving away this Midi Skirt froom SAGHARBOR size XL that I bought at a consigment store this week (clothes Mentor of course!) and it was too big for me. When you shop with toddlers you don’t really have the luxury of trying on clothes. My loss is your gain. All you have to do to enter is comment below that you want to be in the giveaway- that’s it!! Please share with your friends that wear the same size. Your odds are good. Winner will be annouced this Friday- or rather Fri-yay! As you can see it’s a pretty skirt with a thick elastic waistband midi lenght. 6% Spandex so stretchy and no slits! It is a nice twirly, fall ready skirt. Comment below and I hope you win! 🙂

Are you interested in dressing more modestly but don’t know where to start or have no fund for a new wardrobe? Email me! Wonderful ladies have donated clothing to help YOU!

LOCAL ALERT! The Clothes Mentor Consignment Store in Avondale, AZ is having a 50% off sale! Of course I had to check it out and scored quite a few nice skirts for only $3-5 dollars! I like that unlike Goodwill you don’t have to dig through a lot of junk, they only carry quality name brands and organize everything so well. It’s honestly a pleasent experience shopping there and the staff is so nice. Make sure you sign up for their free rewards program, I was texted an offer of $5 off 25 purchase.

Christian, Homeschooling, Mother of 6 with way too many ideas.
